︎Suffragette

These three illustrations is based on the movie Suffragette. It's a historical drama about
women's suffrage in the United Kingdom. Each poster contains a line that is quite powerful and enlightening in the movie. I emphasize purple and green since they are the colors of the suffragette's flag.

The first one demonstrates the scene where Emily, the main point of why suffragettes get spread among Europe, gets hit by the horse and passed away in a few days. Thus lots of suffragettes in England came to attend her parade-like funeral. The line is, "Now we have realized that deeds and sacrifice must be the order of the day."

The second one is the outfit of the suffragette contains the flag, a hat, and Lilly, the flower they carried to Emily's funeral. The line is, "We are fighting for a time in which every little girl born into this world would have an equal chance with her brothers."

The third one is the scene where the police capture the main character in the movie, and I added her furious fire, which burned down all the ropes that has despite words from men and society.
